Before you buy a Roamvy plan, make sure your device is unlocked and eSIM-compatible.
Some devices may be locked if tied to a contract or may not support eSIM, depending on the model.
You can quickly check by dialing *#06#
on your phone:
If you see an EID number in the results, your device supports eSIM.
If you only see MEID (and no EID), your device does not support eSIM.
You can also check our list of popular iOS and Android devices known to be eSIM-compatible.
Don’t see your device here? No worries! If you're unsure whether your phone supports eSIM or is unlocked, simply reach out to us for confirmation. We're here to help!
You can either contact your current carrier to confirm, or insert a SIM card from another carrier — if it works, your device is unlocked.
You can also follow the steps below based on your device type:
iPhone:
Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM
If you see “Add eSIM”, your device is likely unlocked and eSIM-compatible.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs (or on some devices: Settings > Connections > SIM Manager).
If you see “Add mobile plan” or "Add eSIM” or “Download a SIM”, your device is likely unlocked and supports eSIM.
